Dr. Carolina Cortez

After earning her doctorate in 2011, Dr. Cortez began practicing general dentistry in Florida from 2011 to 2013. Her calm demeanor, empathetic approach, and refined clinical skills quickly made her a trusted favorite at her practice, where she became known for handling complex cases with patience and precision. Earning her patients’ trust, she says, remains the most rewarding part of her work.

In 2013, Dr. Cortez chose to give back to her adopted country and joined the United States Army Dental Corps as a Dental Officer, stationed in Bavaria, Germany, until July 2015. During her service, she also volunteered with the American Red Cross to train family members of military personnel as dental assistants and completed Infection Control Manager and Train-the-Trainer in Patient Safety courses through the U.S. Department of Defense.

Following her honorable discharge, Dr. Cortez returned to Florida to build her practice in a community she loves. With a deep passion for transforming smiles, she has pursued extensive advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction, and dental implantology — including Dental Implant training at Alabama Implant Educators in Birmingham, Alabama; continuing education at the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Program in Palm Beach, Florida; and Implant Educators in Davie, Florida. She has attended the Phelan Dental Seminars to further her expertise in complex restorative cases.

Beyond her practice, Dr. Cortez volunteers monthly with Project Dentist Care in Fort Myers, offering free dental care to underserved patients in the community, and yearly at the Florida Mission of Mercy.

Dr. Cortez is proud to care for patients at The Smile Fairy Dental Spa in Naples alongside Dr. Patricia Primero, offering truly comprehensive dental care — from preventive and restorative dentistry to advanced cosmetic procedures, full-mouth reconstruction, dental implants, and orthodontics. Because of her broad clinical training, the need to refer patients to outside specialists is minimal, allowing her to provide continuity of care under one roof and a seamless experience for every patient.
